(iii)  The procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels of supervision and accountability:

The PUCs are examined by the concerned branches and put up through the Superintendent/Head of branch to the officer incharge, who sends the file through proper channel  to the authority, competent to take the decision in the matter, in accordance with the delegation of powers.  The decision is duly conveyed to the concerned  parties by the branch officers.

In the depots the operational staff is deployed as per the time table and route wise deployment of staff/vehicles decided by the General Manager in consultation with the Traffic Manager and Works Manager. The GM is also the appointing authority  for conductors, drivers  and the workshop staff (excluding the supervisory staff for which the appointing  authority is the Transport Commissioner).
